The Perfect Match, Dress & Shoes

Finding your perfect match isn’t difficult. No, we're not talking trying to find the guy you’re going to marry (that can be a little difficult). We're talking dress and shoe matching--the two important items you’re going to wear to that special event, whether it’s prom, a wedding, a spring fling, etc. It’s all about finding the perfect dress and shoe combination for you to wear that evening. The two pieces that together will make you feel flawless and magical.

Let’s start with the little black dress. A gorgeous LBD is always acceptable to wear to a formal occasion.  The shoes the model is wearing in the picture are beautiful, but there are other amazing options, such as these pumps by Jovani or these high-heel sandals by Coloriffics.  Although, before choosing which pair you will go with, you want to make sure you take into consideration what the event is. For example, if you’re going to a formal charity event, wearing the pumps with the dress would look best. Likewise, if you’re wearing the dress to the club, then definitely pair it with the rhinestone sandals.

Prom and Sweet 16 are all a huge part of a teen girl’s life. There are these amazing red and black shoes by Alisha Hill which will look wonderful paired with this red and black dress by Interlude, or this rred and black dress by Landa. These three red and black dresses are perfect for any one of those occasions. When you’re a teenager, it’s okay to be fun and hip, and these shoes show your fresh style. You can even pair the red and black shoes with a solid red dress or a solid black dress to make the dress stand out a little bit.

Another cute dress and shoe option, which would be a great ensemble for a high school or college formal event, is this strapless babydoll mini dress by Sherri Hill paired with some colorful, hologram shoes. The beautiful colors are wonderful for spring and summer events.

Maybe you’re out of college and going to a formal that your company is hosting or maybe you will be attending a wedding. Then this navy blue cocktail dress by La Femme paired with these black stilettos will make you look classy and elegant.  Or you can always go with a sparkly strappy sandal for some added glamour.

Shoe and dress matching can be a lot of fun, since just about any dress can be paired with just about any type of shoe. Just be sure to think about what the event is all about--so you can decide whether to go stiletto or sandal with your dress-- and how you want to show off your style!
