Having a blemish or two on your face is one thing-having them on your back is an entirely different thing. Truth be told, you can’t really apply makeup to cover up your ‘bacne.’ There’s nothing like having the confidence to wear the strappy summer styles you love. If a couple spots on your back have you feeling a little less than fabulous, cheer up doll- we have a couple of simple and effective ways for the situation to clear itself up.
-First off, drink plenty of water and keep yourself hydrated. Hydrated skin is healthy skin. Drinking plenty of water helps flush out the toxins in your body.
-Don’t skip sunscreen as prolonged exposure to the sun can actually cause darkening of the skin. Your blemishes will become darker and will require a whole other treatment. Make sure that any sunscreen you choose has very little zinc oxide.
-Avoid tanning oils as they can and will clog your pores. Clogged pores will lead to more blemishes.
-Even if you don’t take full showers on a daily basis, (i.e. shampoo your hair) make sure and take body showers as keeping your skin clean and free of excess oil and dirt will lessen the chances of you having bacne.
–We recommend: organic oatmeal soap or rosemary soap as both are very effective in clearing the skin. Oatmeal softens and cleanses the skin without leaving a film. Rosemary has a natural drying agent that helps heal blemishes.
– Apply a small amount of tea tree oil to the affected areas. We recommend using a cotton ball as it’ll help distribute the oil effectively. Do this once a week on clean skin.
-Avoid wearing clothing that doesn’t allow for air circulation and traps sweat. Sticking to natural, breathable fabrics are best for any type of skin.
