On May 23rd, The Keep A Breast Foundation launched Keep A Breast Japan in Tokyo with the Tokyo Love Show. The Keep A Breast Foundation is a non-profit organization that aims to eradicate breast cancer by exposing young women to methods of prevention, such as early screening and support. One of the foundation’s projects that was revealed at the Tokyo LOVE Show were the breast casts, which combine sculpture and symbolic artistry. The one of a kind plaster forms of a woman’s torso is customized by artists and auctioned off to raise funds for KAB’s breast cancer awareness programs. Athletes, artists and celebrities, such as Dita Von Teese, Shepard Fairey, Katy Perry, Pink and Lisa Anderson, have also participated in the cause. The end result yields a beautiful and hopeful art form.
