So Fresh and So Clean

So Fresh and So Clean

So you were brave enough to buy an all-white outfit. There’s no turning back doll, you’ve proven yourself a warrior but there’s no need for the battle scars to show up on your whites. While your whites may seem like magnets for every stain in the book, here are a couple tips to keep those pesky stains at bay.

To protect your whites, (jeans and dresses) spray them once over with Scotch Guard to create a barrier between the fabric and any possible stains. Unfortunately, white clothing requires great care, so avoid washing them with any other clothes in the washer. Your best bet? Wash them after every two or three uses and either take them to the dry cleaners or hand wash them with mild, colorless soap. Never apply bleach directly on your clothes, unless they are 100% cotton. If your whites have the slightest percentage of any other fabric, such as spandex or polyester, forego the bleach.

Sweating can actually cause the less than attractive yellow stains left behind by perspiration and deodorant. To avoid stains, simply prinkle some baby powder on the underarms and collar, then iron, forming a barricade against the grime and oil responsible for the yellow discoloration.
