This past weekend, we decided to treat our taste buds to something a bit foreign. Throwing caution to the wind, we visited Chinatown and scouted out the freshest of fruits from the street vendors. Our objective was to try fruits we had never tried before, fruits that almost scared us. Our interest has peaked every time we’ve passed by these foreign treasures and so we picked up a jack fruit, persimmon, lychee, Japanese guava, dragon fruit, Japanese coconut and mangoesteen. We found a cute park in Soho and sliced open our fruits. The colors were gorgeous and the flavors were divine.
